One more day...........

Until my birthday!!!! Can you tell I am excited? I promise after tomorrow I shall go back to normal....... except for the fact that I am NEVER normal!!! hahaha.

Now I am really really bad atrocious at remembering birthdays, except for my own of course and CP2's (which is not an amazing feat as she is my twin sister). I forgot my Mum's birthday this year (sorry Mum!!) and felt really awful about it. This was made worse as she rang me up long distance the day after (I always get alarmed by mid week phone calls from back home) and we had a 45 min conversation where I kept on asking if everyone was ok before she told me I had forgotten her birthday. Oh dear!!!! 

Therefore in preparation for next year, I have entered all birthdays on my iPhone as well as placed Filofax sticky birthday inserts in my work Adelphi filofax. Hopefully this will spare me some blushes. Also, I would like to make a request. If you are the type that will get annoyed when people forget your birthday, then please, please, please, please give reminders!!!! If you don't, then I think you lose the right to get angry and be disappointed and hurt. People usually feel terrible when they forget a loved one's birthday and it is customary to give reminders for other special events and occasions, so why not birthdays????

Anyway before my big day tomorrow (which I hope does not get ruined by the current Arctic conditions in the UK) I will leave you with some birthday trivia.............

♥ Did you know that your actual birthday occurs only once every 7 years??
According to this site, the reason is that not counting leap years, the date you were born on moves each year to the following day of the week. So, if you were born on Saturday December 18th, the following year, March 18th will fall on a Sunday, the year after on a Monday, and so on. This means your annual celebration is actually for your birth date - not your birthday - and in truth your birth day (the actual day you were born on) occurs only every 7 years!

♥ The most common birth date is October 5th and the least common is May 22nd in the USA.

♥ William Shakespeare died on his 52nd birthday, 23rd April 1616.

♥ In England when you reach 80, 90 or 100 years of age you receive a telegram from the Queen. (Shame that by then it will be too late for me to make a plug for her Grandson!)

So my birthday weekend has already been planned in my fun Spots filofax. Today it will include a trip to Bath to visit the amazing Bath Christmas market, a romantic dinner with DH :-) and scrapbooking.
