Twenty questions.......

The lovely Sarah of the Shu Box tagged me for this meme here. I love doing these. And since I have not yet got around to sorting all the photos from my trip to Tobago with CP2 I thought this would be a great filler post in the meantime ;-)

The Flexible quiz rules
Rule 1- The tagged person must write their answers on their blog and replace any questions they dislike with one formulated by themselves.

Rule 2- Tag 4 people to do this quiz. They cannot refuse (although there is nothing to stop them refusing). The tag-ee must state who tagged them.

Ok so let's get started.

1. Name 3 things you are looking forward to.
Meeting up with old friends from medical school, seeing my older sister's house for the first time and hugging DH (Dear Husband) when I get back to the UK.

2. If you could have a dream come through what would it be?
I would love to be able to just pop over to Trinidad whenever I wanted to so that I did not miss birthdays, Christmas parties or christenings. Although I have to admit that I think my life is great (good job, career progression, lovely husband, nice house, reasonable health) and I am very happy. Maybe I am probably already living my dream??

3. What would you do with a billion dollars?
Ahhh now I would definitely set up an educational charity or research trust. I would give each of my family members a specified amount of money and buy myself lovely houses and invest in property! I would travel and become a collector of handbags (and filofaxes) ;-) I would have a personal chef and hairdresser! I would still continue to do research but I would definitely need a much bigger and swankier office.

4. What helps to pull you out of a bad mood?
Blogging, sleeping, listening to music, shopping (I try not to use the last technique too often!)

5. What is your bedtime routine?
7:15 pm- arrive home
7:15- 7:45- cook dinner/change out of work clothes/ remove makeup
7:45- 8:30- eat dinner/ harrass DH
8:30-9:30- read/ catch up on blogs/ pack workbag/ pack lunch and fruit bag/watch a recorded programme/ harrass DH
9:30- state that I am going to bed/ have a shower/ harrass DH
10:30- nag DH to go to bed/ chat about day with DH
11:30- lights out finally!

6. If you are currently in a relationship, how did you meet your significant other?
DH first met me in October 2003 in the Middle Common Room (MCR) of Trinity College, Oxford. I was having a very heated argument with a surgeon. And DH supported my views. Maybe that is why I married him ;-)

7. What kinds of books do you read?
Historical romance, autobiographies, fiction, fantasy.

8. How do you see yourself in 10 years?
Happily married to DH (still), possibly with children and living in a big, double fronted, three storey house. I would be a professor of public health and epidemiology and do research that was internationally recognised for its excellent quality while making a difference to people's lives.

9. What's your fear?
I hate snakes. I do not want to lose any of my loved ones. But I know I have no control over this.

10. Would you give up all junk food for the rest of your life for the oppotunity to see outer space?
Why would I want to do that? However I would love to meet an alien. But only if it were friendly and had no intention of having me for dinner, experimenting on me or inflicting a long tortuous death on me.

11. What's the first thing you do when you wake up?
Turn off my phone alarm, say thank you for living to see another day and turn on my iPad.

12. If you could change one thing about your significant other what would it be?
I wouldn't change anything about DH. It would be great if we didn't work 80 miles apart.

13. If you could pick a new name for yourself what would it be?
I like my first name so wouldn't change it. I think people should start calling me 'Your Royal Highness', preferably without sniggering.

14. If you could choose between 6 months of sun or 6 months of rain, what would you choose?
What do you think? Sun of course!! All year round!

15. If you could only eat one thing for the next 6 months what would it be?
There is no way I could eat one thing only for the next 6 months.

16. What do you enjoy about blogging the most?
Sharing my craziness with the world, interacting with my wonderful readers, becoming part of an amazing worldwide community :-) It makes me very happy!

17. Do you prefer salty or sweet foods?
I have a sweet tooth!

18. What items are in your handbag right now?
Currently I am using my Radley A4 Brie embossed tote and it is a mini pharmacy. I have anti motion sickness pills that I used for the ferry last week, Pepto Bismol, Imodium and Ibuprofen. I have my wallet, umbrella, mirror, bottled water, handtowel, keys, phone, charger, camera, batteries. Unfortunately I could not get DH in there but I know that his head would fit!

19. If you had to choose between vacationing on a beach or on mountains, which would you choose?
Another obvious answer..... The beach of course!

20. What do you watch on television that you know you shouldn't?
I love watching Escape to the Country (shown on BBC1 or BBC2) and had to buy my own hard disk as I have almost 100 episodes saved. Otherwise I don't watch a lot of television.

Four diverse blogs I am tagging
Repsych- Know more, grow more. I learn something new every day!
Modern Musings-  Loulou loves her filofaxes too. But there is a lot more to this blog than filofax love. It is full of positivity even though she has had a tough year as well as many useful tips. You should check it out!
Plannerisms- Will Laurie ever find the perfect planner? I hope she never does.
The Fabulous Life of the Not so Rich and Infamous- This blog title rocks! But that is not all. The author Tanvii has a very unique style which keeps me going back for more!

Have a wonderful Friday. I tagged more of my favourite blogs in this post which you can also read. I should be posting pics from my Tobago trip soon!

Please feel free to do this meme even if you haven't been tagged and share the links in the comments :-) Did anything surprise you?

I was on a break 'coz I feel sometimes I need to just spend some time away from the laptop and the cycle of posting and comments and replying gets really tiring. But just 3-4 days away is a good change and now I am back! :)
